21 WordPress Plugins to Speed Up Your Website + 3 Advices

Website speed is a major factor in how an online business is perceived by customers. In order to keep the visitor on your site and encourage them to convert into a customer, there are several plugins that you can implement that will help your site load faster.

Website speed can be an important metric for website owners who want to drive more traffic and conversions. Slow loading times can lead people to bounce off your site or click on links in the article that takes them off of your site. The good news is, there are lots of things you can do to improve its speed. These include caching, CDN, minimizing HTTP requests, reducing image weight, deferred scripts and images, concatenating scripts and CSS files.

The load time of a website is of paramount importance for the rankings on search engines. That’s because Google and other search engines consider site speed as a ranking factor. One study showed that 50% of visitors will not return to the site if there is a connection delay of over 5 seconds. To make sure your customer stays on your site and converts into a customer you should implement some plugins that will help your site load faster. Best Plugins Combinations to Speed Up your WordPress Website

I found that the best combination of plugins from above is Cache Enabler, DB Cache Reloaded and CDN.

I have used all of them in some combination or other. I prefer Cache Enabler, DB Cache Reloaded combo with WP Rocket CDN which is the best plugin for speeding up any website.

WP Rocket is very lightweight and fast caching plugin for WordPress that will speed up your site significantly by reducing the loading time of your pages.

CDN automatically delivers your content from a server closest to your visitors geographically, therefore providing them with a faster access to your site’s resources (CSS, JS files, fonts). Plugin allows you to use MaxCDN which is specifically optimized for high performance WordPress users. And finally using this plugins with W3 Total cache you can get even better results!

Optimizing Images for Better Loading Time:

I recommend using lazy load to optimize images for your WordPress.

Lazy loading can be very easy to implement by following these steps:

1) Add the Lazy Load plugin’s code snippet to your head tag,

2) Create a new folder in your pictures folder called ‘lazyload’

3) Add the thumbnail image of the large original file to this folder.

In this article, we’ve covered some of the best plugins to speed up your WordPress website. You’ll find that these plugins can make a huge difference in how fast your site loads for visitors and increase both their satisfaction with your content as well as conversion rates. If you’re not using any of these yet, I recommend giving them all a try at once so you can see which one provides the most significant improvement for yourself. The combination of Cache Enabler, DB Cache Reloaded and CDN is my personal favorite because it’s lightweight and still very powerful when combined together!
